A collision occurred January 1, 1960, between automobiles driven by William Jacobi and LaVern Podevels. Jacobi sued Podevels
and his insurer; Podevels and his insurer sued Jacobi's insurer; and Audrey Ludwig, Podevels' passenger, sued both drivers
and their insurers. Jacobi was driving south and Povedels east on city streets. They collided at an intersection. A building standing close to
each street on the northwest corner limited the vision of each driver in the direction of the other.
